Balanced Sound

Have owned several Bluetooth speakers including JBL Xtreme, HK Go+Play, and multitude of other speakers. The Fugoo has a better balance of bass, midrange, and highs than most speakers including the above mentioned. The core w/o the jacket is not much bigger than a JBL Charge 3, so the music dies not get as loud as the Xtreme nor Go+play, but is much more refined sounding than the two. Charge 3 sounds like a toy compared to the Fugoo. The music does not sound as raw and true-to-sound as my Riva Turbo X, but is still better over all sounding than the Xtreme and Go+Play.

So I bought the Fugoo because I wanted a portable speaker for when I was working in the Garage and could move with me to the yard when I went to work out. It was good for me that it was dust resistant and was easy to clean. This was my favorite option because it came with a long battery life and its sound quality was highly rated online. Starting off opening the package it feels like a premium experience with premium accessories and a great box. When you open it you do feel excited and the design of the experience is not tacky and does not feel cheaply done. I love the accessories that came with the Fugoo, The Charger and the flatwire aux cable were very handy and durable. The Good -Loud -Good Range -Easy to connect -Long Battery Life The Bad -Not extremely Bassy -Bluetooth is not always dependable -No stereo set up -Awkward shape

The best one out there. Rugged, long lasting, great sounding, and pretty much perfect.

This is a fantastic bluetooth speaker. It is excellent in pretty much every category and the 360 degree sound is the nail in the coffin for the competition. [Durability] It is built like a tank. I never worry about breaking it. It is completely waterproof. Fugoo has videos of them submerging it in water while playing with no ill effects. It is constructed as two pieces. The speaker itself slots into the shell. The Style, Tough, and Sport are all the same speaker just slotted into different shells. Pull some tabs on the bottom and you can slide the core out to see its impressive construction. [Battery Life] Excellent. I have never managed to run it out of batteries in normal usage. I have all day barbecues and the Fugoo XL reliably pumps out tunes all day. [Connectivity] Again, excellent. Bluetooth pairing is simple and the connection is solid. There is also a line in to play music via a normal headphone cable. I use this along with the USB charging port to connect a Chromecast Audio to my Fugoo. This gives me synced audio with the rest of my house that I can carry out into the back yard! Great for parties. [Sound] The sound is well balanced with good bass and clear highs. At low volumes it sounds great indoors. It gets more than loud enough for just about any situation. Outdoors it has an "outdoor mode" which emphasizes mid-bass and allows the speaker to play a little louder. This is great for pumping out tunes by the pool or at a barbecue where you would not be able to hear the low bass anyway. I compared the Fugoo XL to the JBL XTreme which I think is its closest competitor. They are both good. The JBL has more bass and can play louder, but it can't match the Fugoo Xl's killer feature which is 360 degree audio. With most other bluetooth speakers you have to put them in a corner and point them at the party. This usually means that some people get blasted with music while others can't hear it clearly. No problem with the Fugoo XL, you put it in the middle of the party because it sounds equally good from all sides. This really improves the listening experience in real world scenarios. Just plop it down in the middle of anywhere people are gathered and everybody can enjoy equally. For me this is the best feature of the Fugoo XL.
